Siberian Huskies. If you know something that I don't, I will be happy to pretend that I am actually listening. I have seen it all with this breed. I might suggest that you go out and get yourself a Siberian puppy...And see for yourself the ultimate battle of wills. Maybe I should redact that suggestion. Simply tough. Hearty and Tenacious. This canine anomoly holds all the award-winning, gold-medal earnings in my  book.  This breed is a model of scientific certainty: True intelligence is defined only by the ability to decieve. I have always loved this breed because of their majestic beauty and their unrivaled spirit. Keeping them around is the hardest part of all.

Siberian Husky owners, or breeds of this ilk Beware. Yes, this breed of dog is poster-perfect and the ideal gorgeous dog of all time. Own one, and then find yourself deathly committed to its dominance and caretaking. This is not a Lab. This is not a Golden Retriever. This dog is more then 5 new- born children, far beyond what preparation has taught you to prepare to handle. This breed of dog is not right for people who live in apartments, condos, homes in upscale sub-divisions,trailers,huts,shacks, or areas that are close to highways, goats, sheep, cows, pigs, or simply areas beyond 180 feet around the household, all the above mentioned, can be somewhat cured with the element of Perimeter Training. However: beware, your Siberian will activate their own inate talent of beating the system. I call it the Houdini factor. My first dog was a trained doberman. I was 8 years old. My second dog was a Siberian Husky, age 15, living in a sub-division where every house was, like, right next door to each other. Perimeter Training is the heart of all dog training. Huskies and related breeds are not to be underestimated at any time. These dogs are wolves. Ancient as they are, domestication has been the only thing that has saved humans and eskimos through ages of hell and freezing temperatures, where, without these magnificent canine angels, mankind would have never proliferated or survived.
My Basic message is this: Do not try to own this breed of dog if you cannot provide the means of containing it. More sorry will you be in  trying to have this wunderkind as a loyal friend and companion.... Siberians are independant entities. They have a roaming range of  130 sq. miles from any base camp. This breed is unlike any other. For me to train one all the way, look forward to at least 120 days
They can be great and can turn out great, but one must start training on this breed the minute that their eyes come into focus. I'll take one at 8 weeks old if I had any say.... They're just a little fluffy tigger, but most people are unaware of the evil they can do when they get a little bigger! I love them for what they are, an alien breed of canine from planet HARDCORE. The younger the better for successful development and obedience. Want to know what is even harder than this dog? It is the owners' of this breed! The novices. The first timers.
